Every college has one big fest every year for every student of that college but how many of you really understand the purpose of the fest? Do you know what can a college fest provide you with? If your answer is “YES” then you are smart and if you don’t know, then you need to have a wider thinking to become what you have always dreamt of to become in the future.
College fests are organized every year for the purpose to provide with fun, knowledge, experience and involvement of all students. Most colleges have minimum of two tests every year with loads of opportunities. It can be a technical fest or a cultural fest depending on your college. Cultural fest is the biggest fest of the college which depicts the image of the college at national level. Fest can be small or big depending on the college. Every small or big college fest can provide you with opportunities to shine like a diamond. Now the question comes how do you take these opportunities for yourself and use them.
As you enter in college for the first time you don’t get these opportunities at your doorstep but to make it easy for all the fresher’s every year these opportunities are openly provided by your seniors. These opportunities are not only for the fresher’s but also seniors who missed the opportunities on the first tier and can grab it then. But I believe if you want to shine out brighter than any other student just do not open the easy gates and instead form your own gates. If you want to make your own way, I will tell you these four tricks to become smarter than rest of all.
1. Open your own stall
Opening your own stall needs you to have some product, now take a smart choice and choose some smart product which is useful for the college students around you. Product can be a cheap stationary shop or cheap factory outlet tees with fancy messages on them. Buy the product for yourself and open your own stall. Go make some pocket money for yourself.
2. ExhibitIn every fest we have exhibition of the projects, so make your own project by forming a team of few smart students with similar interests as yours and arrange the permissions to exhibit your project. This might sound simple to you but in big college fest you get a lot opportunities and in case your project is worth, it may take you to some appreciable level.
3. Organise an event or workshop There are many events or workshops organized at the fest with lots of people organizing it then why not one more from your group. Make it a small game, quiz or anything, think creative and plan something different from others. Just do it for fun where you can even do it involving some money by involving the passes and giving away the prizes. This can provide you with your own corner at the fest with you contributing towards the success of the fest.
4. Sponsor
Sponsors are not only the people who provide you with the money but also with any type of services, basically sponsors are the crucial pillar at any fest as they are the one who provides us with services. So arrange some really resourceful service that you can provide in your college at the time of fest and be the sponsor in your college fest. It is as big as it sounds to be a sponsor at your own college fest.
These four were just few things which you can do at your college fest while you can be more creative and think of some more things and make that happen at your college fest. You might think after reading these that they are not possible for any fresher to do these but I won’t answer because I will say it is. For consideration that they are difficult for any fresher but who said you can not collaborate with any senior to organize what you have planned, propose them with proper planning and get them to work with you.
