If it is about first step then I should better start with telling you what a start-up is, a startup is an entrepreneurial venture which is a newly emerged business venture that aims to meet a marketplace need, want or problem by developing a viable business model around products, services, processes or platforms. A startup is a new business venture designed to effectively develop and validate a scalable business model. In simple words college startup is a business you aim to set up at your college with the available resources.
Planning and moving on with a college startup is never an easy job. Many students think about it but they are not able to proceed with what they think just because they do not know where and how to start. Making a successful start up when you got your studies to take care of is one of the most difficult job and if you really have decided to go along the journey then I really appreciate and would tell you are a brave person and are going to achieve a lot in your future.
To start with a startup there are four basic things that you need to take care of which are the most basic things and it takes months to plan and work on them. These four things tell about your confidence, stability and strength of your startup within this challenging market place. Let’s discuss those four things here below:
1. Motto
When you plan a start up first thing you need to know what is the Motto of your startup and why you are doing this. Until and unless you are not sure about what you are doing and for what, it is like moving blind folded on an unknown path. First you figure out a Motto for your startup then it helps you discover the path you follow for the goal you need. Like I always say never take a decision in hurry and take your time to decide what your Motto is because more strong your Motto is more long it is going to carry itself.
2. Team
When you work for a startup in college what you need most is the support because you got many things to take care of when you start, this support is provided most from your friends. Share your Motto with your friends and get them along and ask them whether they want to join you in this? If anyone is interested, then it is well and good and in case no then just move to any other but you don’t stop until you receive the support you require for your Motto and you know the best that how much support is required. But in this one most important thing is choosing your friends wisely because this is the thing that most people regret about in their start ups as they don’t have a proper team. Not only college friend but your friend from anywhere can help you, the choice is totally upon you. Remember at last it is always your decision because it is your startup.
3. Plan
Now once you are ready with your Motto and a team you are ready to start working on it. Get your guys a spot to sit and discuss and start discussing on a topic on how to finally start on your topic. Start with brain storming where you guys collectively plan doing on the Motto by sharing your experience. This is the phase where you do not need any interruption and only your group because this is going to be the core of your startup. Once you finalize your plan you need to be sure on that because the success of your startup depends completely on it.
4. Start doing
Whatever you do on paper it won’t pay anything until you get that into work. More and more you spend time on it and work hard it is definitely going to pay you. Always remember that the day you decided to do something like this you already surpassed many in your college and when you start working and others see you working on it then that is the time when you are going to actually feel the confidence and some good result. You never get a review until you deliver.
These four are the basic steps which you need to work on first when you want to do something for your Motto. When we start a startup we search about it on many places and get many results but the conclusion revolves around these few basic plans.
